If you want to experience alpine good times but don't ski or snowboard there’s still plenty to do at Big Bear Mountain Resort (BBMR) this winter, from family-friendly activities to free events. Here are some non-skiing things to do at Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain.

Snow Play Galore
Experience our new Snow Play Area at Snow Valley for base area fun for all ages. We'll provide limited sleds for public use so come on down to enjoy a space that'll let you create alpine good memories.

Tickets can be purchased on-site for same-day use, subject to availability. Spots WILL sell out this weekend. Arrive early.

Fun in the Sun (Deck)
Bear Mountain's famous sun deck is the perfect place to check out the action in The Scene, or enjoy your favorite beverage from the snows edge. Following the Bear Mountain “go big or go home” mantra, upgrades to the 350 foot sun deck include:

• 3 new fire pits
• Over $250,000 in new furniture
• Custom-built bench seating along the entire slope edge
• Moving from 13,000 square feet to over 25,000 square feet
Clubhouse Grill menu items including fries, a bacon cheeseburger, and frothy beverage in a Bear Mountain glass.
Après All Day
Nobody does après like Big Bear Mountain Resort. With multiple dining options sprinkled at all three mountains, including Snow Valley's Hasta La Pasta, Snow Summit's Freestyle Bowl, and Bear Mountain's Spuds, there’s something for the whole family. Vegan, vegetarian, and kids options also available.

Hit the Top Deck
Grab a frosty beverage and take in the valley views on the sun deck at Snow Valley's infamous Last Run Lounge bar. If you're wanting a hot beverage, ask for a Hot Toddy or Irish Coffee and let your body embrace the warmth while you watch skiers and snowboarders cruise down the slopes.
