Hours of Operation

Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain are open daily for the winter season. Please check the calendar below, as each resort has its own hours of operation. For more information about today's operations, visit the Mountain Report page and read the daily updates.

24/25 Winter Closing Dates

Snow Valley is closed for the 24/25 winter season. Snow Summit is open daily through Sunday, April 13. Conditions at Bear Mountain are holding up well and has the deepest snowpack of our three resorts. This gives us optimism for a longer season compared to Snow Valley and Snow Summit. We’re aiming to extend the season at Bear Mountain through at least April 20, with hopes of going even longer. Please bear with us as we continue to monitor conditions week by week.

April 2025

As the winter season comes to a close, we’re excited to announce a smooth transition into summer activities. Starting April 19, Snow Valley will open for summer fun with downhill mountain biking, hiking, scenic sky chair rides, and delicious food offerings. For the first time ever, we’ll be operating both winter and summer activities simultaneously.

Snow Summit will wrap up winter operations on April 13, with the bike park set to open on June 6. Due to a heavier snowpack, the team will need extra time to prepare the park for summer riding. Golf at Bear Mountain Golf Course will open next month in May. Closing date for Bear Mountain for winter operations is still to be determined.

As we close out the ski and snowboard season, our dedicated team works swiftly to prepare for a new adventure-packed season. We’ll be transitioning our focus to the golf course, getting it ready for tee-off, while also building and shaping our two thrilling bike parks. The first signs of fall are making their way to the mountains, but the alpine good times are still going strong at Big Bear Mountain Resort. After Labor Day, hours of operation at Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain Golf Course may be subject to change based on reduced daylight, weather conditions, and other factors, so be sure to double-check before booking or traveling.

Get ready for a holiday-packed month. With Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations this month, we also have fun things to do for non-skiers such as the Grizzly Ridge Tube Park and one-of-a-kind dining. Hours during our holiday and peak periods will be extended giving you more time on the hill before the year 2026.

*Day ticket holders have access until 6PM. A separate Night Session lift ticket is required to ski and snowboard to 8:30PM. Night Sessions are hosted at Snow Valley and Snow Summit.
**Snow Summit will close at 8PM to prepare for the New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade.
